Glocal - Furniture Delivery Volunteers Needed

Glocal is a local ministry that works with new American neighbors from all over the world. One of the ways that they work with these refugees is to help them settle into their new homes.

Glocal is working to grow a furniture delivery team by 5-10 new members. Right now we have 3 teams, each representing a different church. Each team takes turns every 3 weeks being 'on call' to deliver furniture between a Monday-Saturday.

From Glocal: "We deliver to refugee families who are referred to us from local resettlement agencies. In general we have 2-5 requests a week, either to deliver furniture or occasionally pickup a donation. All our furniture is stored at Westside Bible Church. This set-up works well to prevent burn-out of our volunteers. Its helpful if volunteers have their own trucks/trailers to use. But Glocal has a truck/trailer that is available as well."
